Women Sue Plastic Surgeon for Botched Procedures After Allegedly Operating While Drunk
Two Arizona women have filed lawsuits against a plastic surgeon, Dr. Bradley Becker, alleging that he operated on them while drunk, leaving them with disfigured bodies. Wendy Ellsworth, 51, and Alicia Armijo, 32, claim that Dr. Becker smelled strongly of alcohol on the mornings of their procedures and exhibited signs of intoxication.
Ellsworth underwent a tummy tuck and breast lift with Dr. Becker, hoping to address issues with sagging skin after losing 120 pounds. However, she claims that instead of removing excess skin, Dr. Becker left her with disfiguring scars and unsightly results. Armijo, who had a similar experience, also alleges that Dr. Becker was not in a state of mind to perform the surgery and left her with large scars and skin infections.
Both women have filed lawsuits against Dr. Becker, accusing him of medical negligence, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. They claim that they are not the only victims and are seeking justice for themselves and others who may have been affected by Dr. Becker’s actions.
Despite Dr. Becker’s denial of the allegations, the women are determined to seek justice and raise awareness about their experiences. Ellsworth underwent corrective surgery with another surgeon to fix the damage, but the emotional and mental scars of the botched procedure still linger.
The women’s stories serve as a cautionary tale about the importance of researching and choosing a qualified and reputable surgeon for cosmetic procedures. The lawsuits against Dr. Becker highlight the need for accountability and transparency in the medical field to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
